Made up of Mark Bryan, Dean Felber, Darius Rucker, and Jim "Soni" Sonefeld, the band Hootie and the Blowfish formed at the University of South Carolina. After the release of their debut album, Cracked Rear View, they blew up; it collected a 2x Diamond Certification, and they traded the van for a tour bus and college bars for arenas.
The group has been topping the charts ever since with 17 songs on Billboard, sold well over 25 million albums, and won two Grammy Awards.
